McCann School of Business & Technology Promotes Mary Koziol to Lead Medical Instructor 

Hazleton, Pa. (February 22, 2016) – McCann School of Business & Technology has promoted Mary Koziol from Adjunct Medical Instructor to Lead Medical Instructor. In this role, Koziol will oversee McCann’s three medical programs - medical assisting, electronic health records and medical billing/coding. 

“Mary’s experience in healthcare and innovative ideas will help McCann’s medical program grow to its full potential,” said Bill Burke, McCann School of Business & Technology Campus Director. “She understands the skill set students need to be successful and has always incorporated that into her classes and will continue to do so as Lead Medical Instructor.”  

Koziol will manage the medical program’s curriculum, externship placement and employer relationships, equipment, and other necessary tools students need to complete the program, including books and lab gear.

As Lead Medical Instructor, Koziol plans to incorporate new healthcare technology in order to stay up-to-date with the technology students will encounter during their externships and in the workplace. She wants to ensure students are prepared and well acquainted with technological advances before graduation. 

Koziol has 40 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She worked at McCann as an Adjuct Medical Instructor for 6 years. Prior to joining McCann, she taught a Certified Nursing Assisting program in Frackville, Pa. 

Koziol received a diploma in Nursing from the Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing and has a Train-The-Trainer course certification. Koziol currently resides in Conyngham, Pa.
